During its finale Wednesday night where Lee Dewyze won the title, the Fox show announced that auditions for next season would be held not only in cities across the US. In addition to the regular audition process in cities, the show will let “Idol” hopefuls to submit video auditions online for Season 10 for the first time ever via MySpace.

AMERICAN IDOL, the No. 1 show on U.S. network television for seven consecutive seasons, will revolutionize its audition process by adding an online component via MySpace to the auditions for the first time ever. In celebration of the show’s upcoming tenth season, hopefuls across the country will have the opportunity to get their foot in the door – from the comfort of their own homes.

American Idol already released some of the Season 10 audition cities. American Idol Season 10 audition locations will include Jersey City, NJ, Nashville, TN, New Orleans, LA, and San Francisco, CA. Other cities and additional information to be announced.
